Use the Code 39 Font to format text
- Download and install the code 39 font using the instructions below

For Miscrosoft Word or Microsoft Excel
- If font was installed successfully now in Word or Excel on Top left Corner, usually under Home Tab Font Drop Down will now list "Free 3 of 9" as an option.
- Select "Free 3 of 9" and now type '*' before and after your barcode text, for example: *This is a sample for barcode*

Use GPA Software with a supported printer
Printer Requirements:
- ZPL or ZPL II print language support
- 1" x 4" (2.54 cm x 10.16 cm) or 1" x 3" (2.54 cm x 7.62 cm) labels
- 203 dpi (8 dots/mm) or 300 dpi (## dots/mm) print resolution
Computer Requirements:
- Windows XP/Vista/7
- .NET 3.5 Framework
- Printer must be installed on system

Download Code 39 Font from one the links below:
- Decompress the downloaded file

Installing Code 39 Font

Windows XP
- Open Fonts in Control Panel by clicking Start, click Control Panel, and then click Appearance and Themes. Under See Also, click Fonts.
- On the "File" menu, click "Install New Font".
- In "Drives", click the drive where font file you have downloaded is located.
- In Folders, double-click the folder that contains the fonts you want to add.
- In List of fonts, click the font you want to add, and then click OK.

Windows Vista
- Select and Right click on the Font file you have downloaded and select Install from the menu that appear.
- Your font will be instaled if it is right for Windows Vista. But it will confirm your acceptance by asking you through user account control pop up window. Simply click on Continue, and you are done.

Windows 7
- Double click on the Font file you have downloaded and click Install button on Top Left.
- Your font will be installed if it is right for Windows 7. But it will confirm your acceptance by asking you through user account control pop up window. Simply click on Continue, and you are done.

Ubuntu
- Open the folder where you have downloaded the font file.
- Double click on the font file to open it. This opens a font viewer window.
- On the right there is a button, "Install Font". Click on it.
- Wait until the button turns to greyed out "Installed".
